The Covey is a charming 16th century cottage, enjoying beautiful views from its own pretty rose garden. Set in tranquil Herefordshire meadows on the 200 acre dairy farm, it is next to the farmhouse which also neighbours Meadow Barn. Carefully restored, with original oak beams, antique furniture and a cosy inglenook fireplace. The cottage sleeps 2 + 1 (+1 cot). The attractive cruck beamed bedroom has a large 5ft wide double bed, plus one single bed & en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath, and toilet. Ground floor beamed lounge/dining room with open plan kitchen with winding oak stairs to the first floor.
The Covey is a truly delightful, and romantic, holiday cottage - conveniently accessible to both Hereford and Monmouth. A shop is 300 yards away and a pub/inn is 2 miles. When eating out - we would advise looking at establishment websites for their menus/prices/opening hours and if necessary, pre-booking.
Services:
The cottage has a wood-burner, oil fired central heating and an electric Heater. The first bag of logs, oil, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; additional logs are available locally. There is nearby parking. A cot and high chair are available on request but please bring baby bedding.
There is a colour TV/DVD and a Radio/CD. The kitchen has an electric cooker, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a microwave.
There is a cycle store, a very pretty garden with furniture and a BBQ. Guests have shared use of a one acre lawn and there is a children’s play area - but parents must accompany please as there is a pond nearby. Milk is available on arrival. Non-smokers only. For safety reasons no candles are now allowed. Two well behaved pets are welcome, but are not to be left unattended please.
Fees:
Self-catering holiday accommodation - Full week from £224 to £466, Friday start.
Weekend or mid-week break from £160 to £365. (Friday start for 3 night break; Monday for a 4 night break)
